Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the z8log.com website, dashboard, and APIs (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

z8log provides tools to receive, store, view, and query structured application logs. Features may change over time. We may add, change, limit, or remove features when reasonably needed.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password, dataset API keys, and Admin API keys secure. Tell us at info@relatedcode.com if you believe your account or keys have been compromised.

3. Your data

You keep all rights to the data that you send to the Service. You give us a limited right to host, copy, process, and display that data only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service. You are responsible for your data, including its accuracy, legality, and any notices or permissions needed to process it.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • break the law or the rights of another person;
  • send malware, harmful code, or unlawful content;
  • gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data;
  • avoid usage limits or interfere with the Service;
  • test the Service for security flaws without written permission; or
  • resell or provide the Service to others without our written permission.

5. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party services, including Clerk for authentication. Their own terms and privacy rules may apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security events, provider failures, or other events may cause downtime or data loss. You should keep your own copies of important data and should not use z8log as your only record of critical information.

7. Our rights

The Service, its design, software, branding, and documentation belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of them. You may use the Service only as allowed by these Terms.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, create risk or harm, or if we must do so for legal or security reasons. Where reasonable, we will give notice before termination.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or warranty that the law does not allow us to remove.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed EUR 100. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and give notice of material changes where required. If you keep using the Service after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

12. General terms

If one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the other parts remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, sale, or transfer of the Service. Applicable law governs these Terms.
